Exercise Prescription: An Evidence

Too many years ago, in 2006, Pedersen and Saltin, made and important review with a lot of researchs.

They tried to join all the evidence about how the exercise prescription can be beneficial for the treatment of chronic disease.

The results can be amazing for a lot of people, including doctors. The review show the evidence for prescribing exercise therapy in the treatment of metabolic syndrome and related disorders (insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, dyslipidemia, hypertension, obesity), heart and pulmonary diseases (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, coronary heart disease, chronic heart failure, intermittent claudication), muscle, bone and joint diseases (osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome) and cancer, depression, asthma and type 1 diabetes.

Of course this prescription have to be designed for a highly trained profesional of physical activity as can be a Degree in Sports Science.
